Adjustable Thermostat with Firestat for Power Attic and Exhaust Fans

Adjustable Thermostat with Firestat for Power Attic and Exhaust Fans - Main image

Category: Accessory

This temperature controller features a fusible link which will shut off your electric attic or exhaust fan in unsafe operating conditions exceeding 183° F, and is also used for the daily operation of your fan as a typical thermostat with a bi-metallic switch. This thermostat mounts to a rafter using wood screws and has a wiring diagram provided to complete installation. As a general rule for power attic fans, your normal temperature setting will range from 95 - 115° F depending on average regional temperatures—a setting too low will run the fan continuously, and a setting too high will result in insufficient air turns for proper ventilation.

This thermostat is compatible with our roof and gable mount power attic ventilators (excluding solar vents), as well as exhaust fans (IF14 - IF36, excluding IF R models). Not for use with whole house fans.

Ryan S. ★★★★★

Installed this in my attic to control the exhaust fan and finally have consistent temps up there. The dial is clearly marked and easy to turn, plus I love that the fusible link acts as a safety cutoff above 183° F.

Mia ★★★★★

The fusible link shutting things down at 183° is the peace of mind I needed, since our attic turns into a sauna by mid-July. Installed it in under an hour and now the fan kicks on exactly when the heat builds up, no babysitting required.

Victoria ★★★★★

Finally got around to installing this on my attic fan and the built-in firestat gives me real peace of mind. The fusible link is a simple but smart safety feature I hadn’t seen on other controllers.
