These springs clipped right into my old fan grille without needing any tools, just like the description said. The two-pack was exactly what I needed to get the cover staying flush against the ceiling again.

Wasn't sure these would match my old fan grille, but they clipped right into place without needing any tools. The tension feels just right to hold the cover securely against the ceiling.

My old grille kept falling down until I finally replaced the broken springs, and these snapped in by hand in about a minute. No tools needed at all, and the fit on my ceiling exhaust fan is snug. Two in the pack means I've got a spare for next time.
